Our next General Membership Meeting will highlight a terrific new project to bring housing for seniors and an assisted living facility into the heart of the city.
On Tuesday, April 6, Jon Petters, founder and CEO of Collegeville Development Group, will discuss his companys development plans for the former Petrickas grocery site along the Cannon River in Northfield, within blocks of downtown. The name of the development is “Village on the Cannon.” Kari Sobeck, Vice President and Director of Sales will join Jon for the presentation.
The meeting will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the Riverview Conference Room (lower level) of the Archer House at Third and Division streets. The public is welcome. Coffee and a light snack will be served.
Collegeville Development Group develops niche housing for recently retired adults, or those approaching retirement, in college and university towns. Petters, an award-winning marketer who studied architecture at the University of Minnesota, says the goal is to attract vital and well-off seniors to the “energy and youthfulness” of college communities.
In Winona, Collegeville Developments “University Village” features a commons area, walking trail, outdoor maintenance, on-campus dining at nearby Saint Marys University of Minnesota, and a free guest suite along with condominiums that range from 1,020 to 2,452 square feet.
Kari told us that her phone has been ringing off the hook since she opened an office last month at 307 S. Water Street. Please join us and find out what the fuss is all about.
