Parking disruption downtown June 7-12/Stores and restaurants still open!

“On Monday June 7 work will begin to replace the water service to the former Jacobsen Building. As a result, parking on Division Street between 4th and 5th Streets will be prohibited until no later than Saturday June 12 at 9 am. Parking will be restored earlier if possible. Two-way traffic will continue throughout the duration of construction, but be shifted to the west side of the street. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact Heidi Hamilton, Director of Public Works, City of Northfield, at 645-3009.”

This is the official notice from City Hall indicating progress in one of exciting new projects going on downtown. Lockwood Opera Company, LLC is renovating the building at 419-21 Division Street and making it ready for new retail shops on the first floor and new residential spaces on the second floor.

Please be aware of this minor disruption in traffic flow June 7-12. We want to take a moment to remind everyone that the following fine businesses in the 400 block of Division Street will be open during this time and would welcome a visit from you!
