I talked with John Mathern of Mendota Homes, the new owner of the “Kump Property”, this morning and learned that they are currently addressing the environmental issues on the site and that the Old Exhaust Pros Building, as well as the other buildings, could be coming down as early as next week.

Once this work is completed, the only buildings that will be left are the Old Tom Thumb Building and the Riverview Legacy Motel. The Old Tom Thumb property is owned by the Northfield EDA.
