The ArtSwirl banners are up in Downtown Northfield…
…it must be that time of year again.
Indeed, it’s the Fourth Annual ArtSwirl, ten days of celebrating Northfield’s “diverse array of music, dance, theater, literary and visual arts”.
It starts with a Gallery Reception for “A Look at Now: Painting, Drawing and Sculpture” by Jill Ewald, Northfield artist and director of St. Olaf College’s Flaten Art Museum, Thursday, August 2nd, from 6 to 9 pm at the Northfield Arts Guild, 304 Division Street.
It continues the next morning, with the final performance of this year’s Young People’s Theater Workshop, Friday, August 3rd, 10 am, at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater, 411 W. Third Street, with five plays centered around “American Pi”.
There’s yet more swirling around the official festival kick-off with a beach party for the whole family. Build sand castles in Bridge Square Street and roast marshmellows around a campfire in Bridge Square while listening to The Zillionaires and Meredith Fierke.
Oh, but there’s so much more…see the full schedule at the Northfield Arts Guild.
