A Highlight of this Weekend and Summer – Theater in the Park

One of my personal favorites of the entire year comes only for a few short weeks in the Summer: the Northfield Arts Guild’s theater productions in historic, scenic, authentic Central Park.  This year’s show is “The Country Wife”.  Written in 1675, this is a bawdy comedy which features a wife from the country learning the ways of life in the big city.  It’s described as saucy, hilarious, and filled with clever language and social satire.  In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with “saucy”.
