Cemetery Stories…this Weekend in Downtown Northfield, MN

This is the weekend…Northfield Historical Society’s Cemetery Stories.   Society volunteers will tell Northfield’s history through actors portraying five Northfield residents who are buried in the cemetery.  The tours run every twenty minutes from 3:40 to 8:00 p.m., at the Northfield Cemetery, right across the street from the high school.  Also this weekend…the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra performs in Northfield.  The all Russian program features the music of Gliere, Borodin, Sviridov, and Rachmaninoff, at the First UCC, right across the street from the Weitz Center.

Friday, October 26th: High School Choir and Orchestra Concert, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Middle School Auditorium; Matthew Griswold, 8:00 to 11:30 p.m., Tavern Lounge; Cabin in the Woods, 8:30 p.m., Weitz Cinema on the Carleton College campus; Ted Pretzel Experience, 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Contented Cow; and Karaoke, 9:00 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein.

Saturday, October 27th: Riverwalk Market Fair’s Fall Festival, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Bridge Square; Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra: Racmaninoff Piano Concerto and Russian Program, 7:00 p.m., First United Church of Christ, Stuart Pimsler Dance and Theater Performance, 7:30 p.m., Dittmann Center on the St. Olaf College campus; Amanda Rundquist, 8:00 to 11:30 p.m., Tavern Lounge; Cemetery Stories, 3:40 to 9:40 p.m., Northfield Cemetery; and Groove Factory and Ashantology, 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Rueb’N’Stein.
