The NDDC continues its collaborations with the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce for the upcoming Candidates Forums.  There will be two forums, the first will feature the candidates for County and State offices, the second will feature the candidates for the Council and Mayor.

The State and County Candidates Forum will be Wednesday, October 17th, 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., Community Resource Bank, 1605 Heritage Drive.  The Council and Mayoral Candidates Forum will be Tuesday, October 23rd, 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., Grand Event Center, 316 Washington Street.

It is important that the Northfield economic community not be caricatured with simple slogans such as “no taxes”, “cut spending”, and “protect rentiers”.  The candidates should hear economic leaders’ top priorities, valued investments, and motivating objectives.  All NDDC stakeholders, including partnership donors, organizational volunteers, and event participants (think “Taste of Northfield”) are strongly urged to attend.
