It’s a relatively quiet election this year in Northfield, MN. There’s only one race, for the city council seat in Ward 4. However, Ward 4 is important, almost all of downtown is located in it.
Fortunately, there is a candidate forum where you can meet the candidates and hear their views on key issues for our community. Jessica Peterson-White, Rick Esse, and Scott Oney will participate in a panel format at the Contented Cow, Thursday, October 17th, at 7:00 p.m.
The forum will have two parts. This first part will consist of questions submitted on-line and questions developed by the forum team: Contented Cow proprietor and one-time council candidate Norman Butler, NTV staff person and one-time mayor Paul Hager, long-time Chamber of Commerce board member and current council member David Ludescher, and NDDC staff person and never-been-a-candidate Ross Currier. The second part will be a more informal format where candidates will interact directly and independently with the audience.
So come on down(town) Thursday night to The Cow and meet the candidates and participate in a discussion of issues that are important to our community. Your vote counts.
