This Weekend…the Minnesota State Gravel Championships

MinnesotaStateGravelChampionshipsThis weekend is the inaugural event of the Minnesota State Gravel Championships.  You may not be aware of it, but the Northfield area is known throughout the Twin Cities Metro as THE place for gravel road biking.  It’s a two-day, three-stage event, November 9th and 10th, in Northfield and the surrounding area, with packet pick-up on Friday, November 8, from 6 – 9 p.m. at FIT to be TRI’d in downtown Northfield, MN

Friday, November 8th: Agnes a Cappella Fall Concert, 7:30 p.m., Lion’s Pause on the St. Olaf College campus; Urinetown, 7:30 p.m., Northfield High School Auditorium; Semaphore Fall Dance Concert, 7:30 p.m., Weitz Center on the Carleton College campus; Mike Midwestern, 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., Contented Cow; Bernie King & the Guilty Pleasures, 8:00 p.m., Tavern Lounge; Mark Ponzo, 8:15 p.m., Urness Recital Hall on the St. Olaf College campus; The March Divide, 9:00 to 10:00 p.m., Contented Cow; Walter White, 10:00 to 11:00 p.m., Contented Cow; and Ash St. John, 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., Contented Cow.

Saturday, November 9th: Urinetown, 7:30 p.m., Northfield High School; Semaphore Fall Dance Concert, 7:30 p.m., Weitz Center on the Carleton College campus; Quinn & Meyer, 8:00 p.m., Tavern Lounge; Carleton Choir and Symphony Band Concert, 8:00 p.m., Concert Hall on the Carleton College campus; and Nate Penz, 9:00 to 11:30 p.m., Contented Cow.

Sunday, November 10th: Chinese Music Ensemble Recital, 3:00 p.m., Concert Hall on the Carleton College campus; Zorongo Flamenco, 7:30 p.m., Weitz Center on the Carleton College campus; and Quiz Night, 8:00 p.m., Contented Cow.
