Traditional Nordic Music…in Downtown Northfield, MN

MulteMusicImagePerhaps it’s no surprise that there is some great traditional Nordic music in what some call “Norway West”. While the Norwegian-Americans’ publicity machine tends to dominate the local scene, the Swedes, the Danes, and the Finns occasionally rise to cultural prominence, at least for a night.  This Saturday night, it’s Multe Music, at The Contented Cow.

Friday, November 29th: Wendy Smith & Lori Williams, 8:00 p.m., Tavern Lounge; and Mullet River Boys, 8:00 to 10:30 p.m., Contented Cow.

Saturday, November 30th: Multe, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Contented Cow; and Rick Prenier, 8:00 p.m., Tavern Lounge.

Sunday, December 1st: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, 7:30 p.m., Skinner Chapel on the Carleton College campus; and Quiz Night, 8:00 p.m., Contented Cow.
