It’s the 9th Annual Taste of Northfield, Thursday, May 29th, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in historic, scenic, authentic Downtown Northfield, MN.  There’s something for everyone at the Taste.

The Taste of Northfield features delicious food and beverages from local businesses, as well as live entertainment from local artists.  The event is located in and around Bridge Square, including the beautiful Sesquicentennial Legacy Plaza along the Cannon River.

We are looking forward to performances on the City of Northfield Showmobile by long-time favorites Anna Balfany and The Bridge Square Band, along with a bank raid by the James-Younger Gang.  This year we’re also featuring a Local Talent Show, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., on the Showmobile stage in Bridge Square.

Our local restaurants will be set up around Bridge Square and the Wine and Beer Garden will be on the Legacy Plaza next to the Cannon River.  This year’s Taste of Northfield offers music by Barb Piper, Relativity, Why Not?, and Chad Johnson in the Wine and Beer Garden.

And there are enhanced activities for kids.  The Cannon River Watershed Partnership will be offering Rain Barrel Painting and BikeNorthfield will be providing Bike Tire Repair Hands-On Training.  Of course, everyone’s pleased that MOM Brands’ Create-A-Snack is back again this year.  All of the kids’ activities will be located together on Water Street, between the historic post office and the scenic riverside park.

So come on down(town) to the 9th Annual Taste of Northfield, Thursday, May 29th, 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Be Local, Taste Local, Show Local.
