To recognize the importance of 5,000 Carleton and St. Olaf students living in Northfield, the NDDC is launching its annual “Welcome Students” campaign. We’ve distributed a Welcome Students poster to all downtown merchants to put in their front windows or the walls of their shop along with a letter detailing the arrival dates of students.

On the campuses we’re distributing a flyer showing a directory of downtown businesses (anyone can download a pdf of this directory from our home page), a letter from Mayor Lansing and welcome quotes from the two college presidents. This flyer is a wonderful partnership between the Northfield News, the NDDC, and 30 downtown businesses that supported the project with paid advertising.
