…at least when it comes to immigrant communities supporting vintage bands. (Disclosure: my Mother’s Father’s Mother and Father came from Germany.)

As you know from, among other places, the NDDC’s web site, Paul Niemisto is organizing a Vintage Band Festival for this summer. The Festival will feature at least 40 outdoor concerts by at least 15 vintage music bands. One of the bands is from Berlin and one of the bands is from Stockholm.

When Paul put out a call for financial support for these bands’ travel expenses, the area’s folk of German heritage quickly responded with donations for the band from Berlin. As for the area’s folk of Swedish heritage…the band from Stockholm is still waiting.

So come on, you sons and daughters of Sweden, help Paul bring the band from Stockholm to Northfield!
