The St. Paul Pioneer Press had an article today about the Vintage Band Music Festival. Titled “Classical musicmakers – Forget the latest fads. At this music festival, everything old is new again”, the article did a nice job hinting at the wide variety of music that we’ll have available here in Northfield over the next few days.

So don’t be surprised if some out-of-towners with “northern accents” ask you where they can find the ophicleide (shown here being played by the Wisconsin 1st Brigade Band, performing in Bridge Square, Saturday at 7:30 pm) and the euphonium. Simply direct them to the nearest Festival Schedule and say “Welcome and have fun!”.
