NCO and KYMN Sponsor Candidate Forum

This just in:

Greetings to all,

I’m Anne Bretts, managing editor of Northfield.org. Like many nonprofits in town, we have no budget for marketing, so we need your help. We’re joining with KYMN radio to hold a very important event this week and we need you to tell as many people as possible. Put this on your blogs, forward it to friends and co-workers.

If you have any questions, please let me know. If you’d like fliers to pass out, I can get them to you. This is the last chance most people will have to meet the candidates and learn a little about the issues before the primary.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are three candidates from Northfield running for District 2 of the Rice County Board, meaning that voters will have to narrow the field in the primary next Tuesday, Sept. 12. And now you have a chance get up to speed – in just one evening.

Northfield.org and KYMN radio are hosting a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in the City Council chambers at City Hall. You can meet them all in one evening, ask questions and listen to their ideas – and still have time later to debate their merits over a beer at the DJJD festival.

This would be an opportunity for downtown stakeholders to ask questions about topics of importance and how Rice County might support Northfield’s efforts.
