At a recent gathering on economic development, the leaders of 3 of Northfield’s largest employers (and, no, the Independent School District wasn’t one of them) said that if the upcoming school levy failed, it would be economically devastating to the community.

So, as an organization that is concerned about the economic vitality of downtown, the school levy is therefore an issue of great interest. Each citizen and property owner needs to be informed about the issue in order to cast a meaningful ballot.
