Bridge Chamber Music Festival and Outlaw Motorcycle Run…Just Another Weekend in Northfield

ArtariaQuartetChamber Music and Motorcycles, black silk shirts and black leather chaps, singing strings and roaring engines…it’s the Bridge Chamber Music Festival and the Historical Society’s Outlaw Run giving shape to another exciting weekend in Northfield.

Wednesday, August 19th, it’s Festival Concert 1, 7:30 p.m., Urness Concert Hall on the St. Olaf College campus, with Valdivia, Carter, Ananda-Owens, Seerup, Qian, Bryce, Lemen, Melville, Horozaniecki, Ericksen, and Een doing Haydn, Mozart, and Mendelssohn.

Thursday, August 20th, it’s Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land, 7 p.m., Just Food, Mark Mraz at the Tavern Lounge (riverside of the Archer House), and Study Hall with Peter, Terry and Peter at the Contented Cow.

Friday, August 21st, it’s the New Moon Trio, 5 to 7ish p.m., Contented Cow, Bridge Chamber Music Festival Concert 2, 7:30 p.m., Carleton College Concert Hall, Spruce Top Review, 8 p.m., Contented Cow, Karaoke, 9 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein, and Key West Rejects at the Tavern Lounge.

Saturday, August 22nd, it’s the Outlaw Run, 9-10 a.m. registration, Bridge Square, Tour de Farms, 10 a.m., Northfield Farmer’s Market, Bonnie and the Clydes, 8 to 11 p.m., Contented Cow, D J Music, Rueb’N’Stein, and Norwegian Cowboy, Tavern Lounge.

Sunday, August 23rd, it’s Bridge Chamber Music Festival Recital, 2 p.m., Studio A on the St. Olaf College campus, Politics and a Pint, 6 p.m., Northern Roots Session, 7:30 p.m., and Quiz Night, 8:00 p.m., all at the Contented Cow.
