I’ve long contended that, pound for pound, Northfield compares favorably with any “Art Town”.  Next Friday, August 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m., you can see for yourself.

The NDDC’s 6th Annual ArtSwirl will highlight the community’s rich offering of visual arts with a Downtown Gallery Crawl and Studio Tour.  All of the galleries and many of the studios in downtown Northfield will open their doors to the public to show off their art.

The artists and locations on the Crawl and Tour include: ArtOnWater, Northfield Arts Guild, Anthologie, The Garage, Eclectic Goat, Right Brain Ventures, swag, Sue Hammes-Knopf, Phil Daniel Architectural Stained Glass, Karen Oiseth, Kirsten Johnson, Riki Kobl Neslon, Carla Thompson, and Mark Daehlin Design.  Maps will be available both at the ArtSwirl Kick-Off and the night of the Crawl and Tour.

So come on down(town) on Friday and check out Northfield’s rich offering of galleries and studios.
