City of Northfield Director of Finance Kathleen McBride will discuss City finances at the Northfield Downtown Development Corporation (NDDC) Downtown Forum on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at 8 a.m., in the Riverview Conference Room (lower level) of the historic Archer House, 212 Division Street in downtown Northfield.

McBride will discuss both the City’s Capital Investment Budget and the City’s Annual Operating Budget. The Capital Investment Budget discussion will include potential projects, the prioritization process, and projected impact on taxpayers. The Annual Operating Budget discussion will touch upon the current financial situation, steps taken and steps being considered, and projected impact on taxpayers.

McBride is a highly regarded City of Northfield employee, known for both her ability to explain complex topics and her candor in speaking with citizens. In these challenging financial times, both attributes are greatly appreciated; be sure not to miss her presentation.
