Big Weekend for Art Openings

Programa de navidadThursday, Friday and Saturday all offer art exhibit openings this weekend.  And, as always in “Music City Minnesota”, there’s aural experiences every night in Downtown Northfield.

Thursday, January 7th, Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Becky Jokela and Douglas House – Landscape Paintings, 7 to 9 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild, Norwegian Cowboy, 8 to 11 p.m., The Tavern Lounge, Faculty Recital: Marty Hodel (Trumpet) and Christopher Atzinger (piano), Urness Hall on the St. Olaf College campus, and Karaoke, 9:30 p.m., at Froggy Bottoms.

Friday, January 8th, Chuck Godwin, 6 to 9 p.m., Butler’s Steak & Ale, New Moon Trio, 6 to 10 p.m., The Contented Cow, Cary Aria, 7 to 11 p.m., The Tavern Lounge, Art Exhibit Opening Reception: Latin American Posters, 8:30 to 10:00 p.m., Art Gallery on the Carleton College campus, Love and/or DANGER, 8 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild Theater, D J Music, 9 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein, and D J Music at Froggy Bottoms.

Saturday, January 9th, Art Opening Reception: Art Apprentice Exhibit, 2 to 4 p.m., Flaten Art Museum on the St. Olaf College campus, Ian Alexy, 7 to 11 p.m., The Tavern Lounge, Love and/or DANGER, 8 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild Theater, D J Music, 9 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein, Dime Store Watch, The Contented Cow, and D J Music at Froggy Bottoms.

Sunday, January 10th, Faculty Recital: Soprano Alison Feldt and Pianist Kathryn Ananda-Owens, 3:30 p.m., Urness Hall on the St. Olaf College campus, Politics and a Pint, 6 p.m., The Contented Cow, Northern Roots Session, 7 p.m., The Contented Cow, Takacs Quartet, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Concert Hall on the Carleton College campus, and Quiz Night, 8 p.m., The Contented Cow.
