Bad Weather Blues Behind Us, On to Taste of Northfield Day Two

Last night’s weather really didn’t get much better.  It was probably a good thing that the Police Department  “advised” the NDDC Board to shut down and send folks to shelter.  Nevertheless, you can see that NDDC Board Member Jessica Paxton and I were not happy about the turn of events.

Fortunately, this year there’s another day of the Taste of Northfield.  And today, the weather is supposed to be just fine.

The Fabulous Food will be back, so will the Beer Garden on the 4th Street Bridge.  The Silent and Live Auctions have been extended into today and the Raffle, with your chance to win $1,000, is also today.

There’s another big line-up of entertainment for Friday, featuring Anna Balfany, singing an d strumming, the NAG Mexican Folkloric Dance Ensemble, The Lost Boyz Crew, The Bratlanders, and The RCAs.  Oh, and of course, the Kids’ Activities: Balloon Animals, Face Painting, and Cookie Decorating.

Don’t get your hopes up, but we’ve asked the James-Younger Gang if they’d consider another Raid.  However, it’s not easy pulling outlaws together on short notice.

So, come on down(town) for Day Two of the Taste of Northfield, today from 4 to 10 p.m.  There’s a whole lot of fun that was just waiting for the storm to pass.
