I Was Offered a Tip…Templeton, this Saturday Night

I was offered a hot tip, from a reliable source, suggesting that I check out the band Templeton this Saturday night.  You might consider this to be taking advantage of closely-held information, as not only am I “well-connected” in the “be local” scene, but I also play in a connected, local band.  However, you too can reap rewards from inside information (just by reading this post)…in Downtown Northfield.

Thursday, December 2nd: St. Olaf Christmas Festival, 7:30 p.m., Skoglund Center on the St. Olaf College campus; and Mark Mraz, 8 to 11 p.m., at the Tavern Lounge.

Friday, December 3rd: Norseman Band, 5 p.m., Boe Memorial Chapel; Beguine Brothers, 8 p.m., Contented Cow; and Lonesome Dan Kase, 8 to 11 p.m., Tavern Lounge.

Saturday, December 4th: The 12th Annual Tuba Christmas, 3 p.m., Buntrock Commons on the St. Olaf College campus; Templeton, 5 p.m., Contented Cow; Bonnie & the Clydes, 8 to 11 p.m., Contented Cow; The Counterfactuals, 8 to 11 p.m., Tavern Lounge; and The Johnny Holm Band, 8:30 p.m., Grand Event Center.

Sunday, December 5th: Book Launch Party – Mary Bleckwehl, 2 to 4 p.m., Northfield Arts Guild; Politics & a Pint, 6:30 p.m., Northern Roots Session, 7:30 p.m., and Quiz Night, 8:00 p.m., all at the Contented Cow.
