There’s some pretty cool cello music going on in Northfield this weekend.  Its all part of “Cello: An American Experience” at St. Olaf College.  It’s a fourteen-day experience of learning and performing that is coming to a conclusion this weekend.  That means you can hear some of the finest cellists in American perform in Northfield.

Friday, August 3rd: Cello: An American Experience Recital, 7:30 p.m., Urness Recital Hall on the St. Olaf College campus; Burning Chrome, 8:00 to 11:00 p.m., Contented Cow; Lonesome Dan Kase, 8:00 to 11:30 p.m., Tavern Lounge; and Karaoke, 9:00 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein.

Saturday, August 4th: Riverwalk Market Fair, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Bridge Square; Cello: An American Experience Recital, 7:30 p.m., Urness Recital Hall on the St. Olaf College campus; Stone Soup, 8:00 to 11:00 p.m., Contented Cow; Anne Sawyer, 8:00 to 11:30 p.m., Tavern Lounge; and D J Music, 9:00 p.m., Rueb’N’Stein.
