It sounds like a mid-sixties, San Francisco-born, blues-rock band to me.  However, it’s really David Lefkowitz, a Carleton College professor of art, and Doug Bratland, bass player for the Bratlanders, using a wide variety of mediums to create their exhibit which explores a city that exists in a parallel universe (although slightly askew) to Northfield.  Of greatest interest to me is a scale model of a prehistoric beaver lodge metropolis that many believe graced the Canon River right where downtown Nirthfolde now stands.  Opens Friday at the Northfield (or is it Nirthfolde?) Arts Guild.
